what does lake turnover do to the fish green has turned

I was there today and noticed the stagnet black water. When do the fish get out of there funk that there in? Does the fishing get better before winter? Hell I was catching them much better when the water temp was 85. With water temps the way they are you would think the fish would be bitting alot better. I've got a trip down to ky lake for 4 days starting thurday and I'm debating wether or not to go because of the so called turn over. Wich I know zero on what happens to the fish and for how long. Might have to break down and get a guide for one of those days.

Ky Lake doesnt stratify because its a riverine enviroment so there is no turnover there.Never cancel a trip to Ky Lake.

Doesn't sound like they have been biting all that well down at KY. Plus cold fronts coming through end of the week.

Everything I've heard and the trip I had down to KY Lake 3 weekends ago I'd say save your money.....it was really slow....we had a decent day on Green Saturday....had around 10 bass and a musky....one KY that was an easy 3 and probably closer to 4

My dad spent last friday and saturday with a guide on ky fishing for crappie. The first day didn't catch one and had switch to yellow bellies. What ever a yellow belly is? The first day the guide wouldn't even take there money the fishing was so bad. Second day they caught two good crappie and had to switch over to the yellow bellies again. For the second day the guide charged them a discounted rate because the fishing was so bad.

I don't know what the deal with fishing is right now. Water temp is great. I was catching more fish when it was a 105 degrees out.

Tell me a little about green on where to fish and what kind of bait to use, if you don't mind. Never fished green. Pleasure boated green a bunch.
