I don't read the bible no where near as much as I should...and there are many MANY things in the bible that I either do not understand or feel like after reading them I'm going to go straight to hell...like this verse you quoted out of Mathew...For instance, let's say I'm sitting here behaving myself (for a change) when along comes some rascal that wants to steal my bird dog from me, am I supposed to tell him to wait a second and he can have my black lab too? Same goes for guns, cash, fishing tackle, electronics of any kind, tools, any material goods what so ever, you name it...stealing from me is doing harm to me as far as I'm concerned....and I'm supposed to not only look the other way but also offer the rascal the "other cheek" so to speak? I really REALLY have a problem with this. I'm not questioning what the good word is trying to tell me, and I'm not questioning or arguing with your post...I'm just saying that knowing myself like I do and the traits of my own personallity, I have a problem with this. I have a true hatred for thieves.
