Illinois lakes have the best fishing in the area. By coincedence, the majority of those lakes have horsepower restrictions.

It keeps the big tournaments from over pressuring a lake.

Waveland is tiny. You get 20 boats out there, and you are fighting for fishin spots. A lot of people fish off shore for crappie too, so boats flying around Waveland is a safety issue.

I like what West Boggs does, from memorial to labor day, the tournaments are restricted. There is no way to say that tournaments are not having an effect on these smaller bodies of water.

Mill Creek Illinois is good example. It gets pounded by tournaments, Wednesday nighters, Friday nighters, Saturdays and Sundays. Many anglers have been talking about the decline in the keepers that used to be brought to the weigh ins.

I don't expect tournament anglers to agree, its just an opinion. We don't need to get upset about each others opinions.
