Im trying to understand oxygen levels in Taylorsville.Looking at the corps site on the reports page the oxygen is very low.Compared to other flood control lakes in the area it is very low.How will this low oxygen affect fishing? Is this lake in danger of a fish kill? The highest level is at the surface,1.7.
This reading is taken at the dam correct? If that is the case, then maybe the fish could be more concentrated somewhere with water movement? The few fish i caught did not act as though they were deprived of oxygen. They hit hard, fought hard, and needed no reviving on release. So maybe the dissolved oxygen is at better levels somewhere else in the lake. I dunno.
