Fishing Ohio River Powerplant's hot water discharge

Went fishing New Richmond powerplant (Beckjord) today. I was informed that it off limit for 500 ft from the powerplant per Homeland Security. Has anyone run into this on any of the other Ohio River powerplants?

First I've heard of it and I've fished all the powerplants on that pool this year. I fished Beckjord a couple weeks ago and didn't see any signs or get run off. Maybe it's just something new until all this cargo plane bomb crap dies down. BTW, were there any skips there?

Lots of small 2 inch shad minnows. I didn't fish on the outside of the barges that is where the skipjacks usually are. I know the tugboat capitan tried to run a friend out last year and he refused to leave. There are no signs posted or anything.

there are no signs around the gambling boats either but i've talked to a couple security guards over there that told me the coast guard doesn't allow fishing within a certain area around the boats. they told me the CG run people off all the time, but they never mentioned anything about people fishing discharges getting run off, and there are ALWAYS boats fishing the discharge across from the boat. I envy them everytime i have to go over there
