"...Your links refute $200 million a day yet they don't provide a FACTUAL figure. Why is that? Maybe it has something to with the FACT the whitehouse isn't saying...."
They probably aren't saying for the same reason you cannot get those figures for Bush, Clinton, and any other recent president: its classified information. That should have been your first clue that the original story was BS. How does some source in India have access to classified information? If the figures are correct, then someone better be doing some checking on how those figures got out cause it means we have someone at a pretty high level in government giving away classified info.
You might also consider the reasons for the trip before you pan the whole thing off as a waste of tax payer money. Part of the trip was to attend then G20 summit, other parts were discussing trade relations with India and other nations looking for American exports. You know, finding work for Americans. Another part of the trip dealt with extremists and how to deal with them. National security stuff. I kind of thought those were the kinds of things that we elected presidents to do. Not like this was just a vacation for the president at our expense. As several of us have suggested here and in other threads, there are plenty of real problems with the current adminstration. Keep harping on non-issues and you make the right seem aweful petty and without merit.
"...Maybe Mr. Obama will take another page out of Bill Clinton's playbook and bomb an aspirin factory to divert our attention..."
Yeah, thats what that was all about. Seriously? No president does the actual work of bombing or determining a target. The military does that. The thing that suks the worst about that whole deal was Newt being in on the plans in advance, saying nothing contrary until after the fact. Then the whole wag the dog deal was unleashed. This meant Clinton could find no support in Congress for trying to go after and neutralize al queda. You can thank Newt for events that happened after that.
