need more keepres

I fished nolin yesterday from about noon to 3:00 p.m. I caught somewhere around 30 fish all on a spinner bait with just one keeper about 3lbs. Mostly fished main lake channel banks with the wind blowing in on them. I tried a few pockets and caught some but not quite the action as on the main lake where the wind was blowing. i went back to the banks where I caught them on spinners and fished a jig and never got a bite. What should I have done to maybe get more keepers?

Maybe a jerk bait or a fluke? Seems that slowing down the presentation and getting it a little deeper may have inticed a few bigger fish that may be just a bit lazier than the ones hitting your spinner bait... but i am seriously just guessing wildly...
