    Newburgh 11/6

We fished Newburgh for a couple hours today. We caught one sauger and I lost a really really nice one at the boat. I switched over for stripes for a bit. Skips were all over the place. Pretty much every cast got one. Ended up not catching any stripes but did manage a 10# or so blue cat. Water temp was at 57 in the am and 59 when we left at 12:30. Come on cold weather and rain!

High temps in the 70's next week so it may be a slow cool down. Once it hits 55 they should start really moving in. I will say I haven't seen that many skips breaking the surface like today. Also the shad were thick too. Couple balls on the 5th gate when they opened it were easily 15'-20' across.
