You can't go wrong OR beat the latex gloves. Use them, an if the hands are still cold, then pull a "finger mitten over them". See you on the CR or LC next week??????(1) Vaseline on your hands.
(2) Latex Surgical Gloves
(3) Kenai Glacier Grip Fingerless Gloves, if you require more warmth.
I'm telling you, try it. You have surgical precision with the latex gloves, but they keep the wind off your hands and the Vaseline helps provide a little insulation layer. For this time of year, it's awesome. Now, when it gets really cold you need the additional fingerless gloves or some flip-top mittens or something, but I'm telling you....go buy you a cheap box of latex surgical gloves. You'll look like you are ready to give a prostate exam, but I really like it for cold weather fishing. You can tie small knots, operate reel, etc. without being hindered of having to constantly take off and put on gloves.

How about friday on the cr? Wondering where you been? I got a whole box of those latex gloves. I'll bring you some.
Sad news,I'm in Southern Indiana to attend funeral on Saturday and now it turns out my Sister-in law has been admitted to the hospital with suspected heat attack. Doesn't look like I'll be back in the Cumberland region until at least Monday PM, at best.
Sorry to hear that. Family first no doubt. I'll ring you up around tuesday as i'm staying in jamestown. Prayers for your in-law
Thanks much, just got a call and test results weren't good. She will be having emergency open heat surgery as soon as they can get it scheduled.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Bought a pair of the UNDER ARMOUR liner gloves an they exceded my expectations !I bought the large/xlarge an the could of been a hair smaller for my average size hand. I also have a pair of SEALSKINZ gloves that are excellant an waterproof .
Yes I've seen the seal skins but are they bulky and how are they for handling a rod and reel? Which does the best job?
I think I like the Under Armour liner gloves the best but the SealSkinz are pretty nice as well .1 side of the SealSkinz have the little rubber dempels the other dosen't an you can switch hands to eather side. You can fish in them but I dont think you could tie knots with them on.You can stick your hand down in the water an never get wet.
thanks a lot I'll try the under armor and I'm gonna get the mittens also. Not gonna get caught this winter with cold hands. Figured ol' santa will hook me up with the gloves.I think I like the Under Armour liner gloves the best but the SealSkinz are pretty nice as well .1 side of the SealSkinz have the little rubber dempels the other dosen't an you can switch hands to eather side. You can fish in them but I dont think you could tie knots with them on.You can stick your hand down in the water an never get wet.
