Question when on GRL?

Was at a rock bluff that turned into a point. Closer to the point the water got shallower. The area is across the lake from the dam. I was in about 35' of water and saw a ton of fish on the graph for like 60 yards leading up to the dam. All the fish were holding in 33' of water. My question is would a drop shot technique with a senko work in that type of depth. Just kind of bouncing it off the bottom. Or could that have just been bait fish?

Amateur fisherman here just trying to learn a bit.

dont hurt a thing to try it, no way to know. a jigging spoon may work a little better but you need to hit it and see.

Seeing that much activity my guess would be baitfish....most likely alewives....but putting a bait down there cant hurt anything

Never thought about a spoon. Hell it wouldn't do me any good I don't have one in my tackle box.

Are you sure there are Alewives in Green River Lake ?? I know they're in Dale & Cumberland, but I hope they've not been introduced into GRL.

Yes there are alewives in Green for a fact....they did a study a couple years ago and found the number of alewives had increased greatly...don't remember the exact number but you might be able to find it somewhere
