I put in at axtil and went to tules creek yesterday and the fishing was lousy at best so i fished my way back to axtel and then back to the state doc and all I caught was some little crppie one little bass and one 8 inch blue gill I was using monows and fishing from 8 to 15 feet deep. I talk to quite a few people down there and they were not catching anything to talk about , One guy said he had fished all day with jigs and caught 12 keepers all between 9 and 11 inches..
When I got home i checked the corps web sight and it seemed they had went from 657 CFS to over 1000 CFS..

Every one i seen fishing for bass was using a pig and jig or worm a few were using cranks but then i was at the wrong end of the lake as usual
Oh well maybe next time. I think I'm going sauger or catfishing for a while..
