RUT IS ON!!!
Today was GREAT!!! Seen a spike an hour in, a doe not too long after, could hear deer running every hillside around me, then around 10am a BIG bodied 10walked out 40 yds in front of me toungue hanging out panting where he had been chasing all morning kinda slow walking. He is now hanging in the garage. 17 inch inside spread with nice brows. Not too tall but he is at least a 4 1/2 maybe a 5 1/2 year old so a great kill on opening day. Brother also got a 3 1/2year old 10 pt with a broken tine. Would have been an 11 and seen another 1about the same size chasing a doe about an hour after. Morgan Co. was great today. GO GET EM BOYS they are def eating the viagra!!!!!

Re: RUT IS ON!!!
We're just not seeing it at all. Saturday I saw a total of 0 deer from a stand that normally has them crawling all over you. Sunday saw 2 does and a yearling. One doe made the ride back in the cooler. Between 12 hunters on 800 acres we had an 8 with 20" spread and a 10 with 16" spread and my doe. No chasing seen. Acorns still so plentiful they snap and pop under your feet ever step. You can literally get 5 gallon buckets full under almost any tree. Corn in feeders is going untuched except by the turkeys and coons.
Hunted a different farm yesterday. Big zero again. No chasing, no deer movement. I'm heading to Ft Knox this weekend, hope things improve.
