The Asian carp will do more damage to our bass populations than these gar will, sure they will eat a bass when they can but they mostly feed on the slower moving rough fish, they might help curtail the carp population, but that will be years down the road as these fish are slowgrowing, also why would anyone want to kill one with a bow, yes it might be fun, but killing a fish over 100 yrs old, well I have reservations about that, I would like to take one on rod and reel, from what I have read and researched they do not post that big a threat to our sportfish population, and they putting them in the river and everyone knows the river does not have that great a bass population anyway, habitat destrustion and polution hurt the bass on the river more than these gar will. Just my thoughts.
