I with yea on the product pusher's. However, any fishing show beats the Heck out of watching dancing with the stars or any of the other BS that airs! BTW...+1 on Mikes show!

Facts of Fishing
Let me tell you how much I like Facts of Fishing. This guy goes to lakes in Canada that anyone can go to. He then fishes for one day and keeps count of his casts. At the end of the day, if he were to oget skunked, you would know. He tallies it up for you at the end of the show....how much time he spent on the water, how many casts, and how many fish. No 5 days of filming for a half hour show. He doesnt push any fishing products, although his boat is a giant Subway sign... I wish they would do a show like it in southern waters...
I agree with the everyone here about City Limits and Pro Team Journal, these are excellent programs, and I can usually pick up a point or two from Mike and Denny that help my on the water. I've met both these gentlemen and appreciate their great nature with us novices. However, as a television producer by profession myself, my favorite fishing show is The Spanish Fly with Captain Jose Wejebe. The production qualities of this show are excellent and his show is always about the whole experience of going fishing; not just the catching or being on the water part. I do a lot of saltwater surf fishing when I can, so I love a show that takes me back to salt. Another, show you may want to checkout when you can is Shipshape TV. This is usually about much larger boats then bass boats, but you'd be amazed at what you can learn on this show to help you keep your own boat "shipshape".
Been watching The Bass Pros on WFN's website all morning... another great show that actually teaches you a lot of good techniques even when it is plugging a product, they tell you that it is the attributes of that particular product that make it work, and that you can find those attributes elsewhere. For instance, on teh deep crankin episode with Rick Clunn, he plugs Bass Pro products and DT cranks, but says why they are good.... and what to look for if you buy another brand crank, rod, or reel...
The Sportsman Friend with Harold Ensley; does this date me?
what about hank parker he was always my favorite i dont even know if he comes on tv anymore
Just found a program called "Look 'n' Hook" using my On Demand feature on the Versus Channel. Basically half of the program is shown from below the waterline. I can't decide whether I like it or not
Anyone else heard of this program? Thoughts?

That is Kim Stricker's show and he is a class act when you meet him in person.
Another one I left off, which is no longer on the air was Jerry McKinnis show "The Fishing Hole"
Ultimate Match Fishing.. I think it's great to see two pro's in the same boat fishing against each other and having a good time.
