    Sauger biting ?

    Talked to an old fellow while fishing Bluegrass , said he heard the sauger are running below Newburgh dam . Anybody doing good and which colors are they biting best .

    dont know about the sauger, but fished otter today and had a mess of crappies, using a red tube jig.

    Been on fire lately. We've limited everytime out in the last two weeks. I'll give ya a hint stay off the wall. I've been using pink and orange.

    Went below Cannelton dam Saturday and didn't get a bite, didn't see anyone catch a thing

    In this area from best to worst imo. Jt meters, Newburgh then cannelton.

    If you're going to Newburgh, you had better go with Justin. I have talked to two CO's in the last couple of days, one checking people and the other fishing and talked to a guy at work that usually wears them out and all of them said the same thing...SLOW.

    Everyone is fishing it wrong right now. Everyone is sitting against the wall or drifting the 1st gate at a angle into the 2nd. If I do either I catch one or two all day. I've been fishing the 5th and last gate. Also been using 3-5" river minnows. They aren't hitting smaller 1-3" store boughts. They aren't shallow right now. You need to be in 40'+. Good luck.
