I worked with a fella 20 plus years until he retired from T-Ville. He last name was Cleary.37 and change, includes an 11+ largemouth, 7+plus smallie and 5+ spot,+ another 8 and 6 lg. All from Ky waters, all from same lake except the spot and it came from Barren way up Skaggs. The others all came from a small lake near Tompkinsville, all fish were released.
28 pounds for me.
My biggest fish, 9.5 LM caught in Georgia.
Lots of 4 to 5 from Taylorsville, Rough and Nolin.
I doubt that I have been fishing as many years as some of you guys. I'm not old enough to have had the pleasure of fishing back in the 70's & 80's. From what I hear, the fishin was a whole lot better with out all the pressure on the fish back then. I can only imagine...
Best five fish in one day was on Lake Barkley.... 27lb 2oz. All caught a spinnerbait. We caught six fish all day. The sixth fish was about 10inches long.
11.7 on shiner in Fl
8.1 on jig/pig in Ill. lake vermilion
7.3 on jig/pig in a il. river

My all time pride and Joy a 7.2 Smallmouth Dale Hollow 2004 on home made jig and a twin tail grub in 25-30' water
So over 40 lbs wow never thought about it till this post
Hate to think of the hours or the dollars spent to reach that number but loved every minute of the 46 years it took....
I like this post and thought about asking my list of freinds on FB.I've only been keeping track in my head but should be 25lbs and change all KY.Now if we would have been weighin all the Bass we caught while bullhead fishing as a kid in Mi i think they was all 10lbs + but that was way back in the 60s.I love ice fishing and dream of the day i spear a 5ft+ ? did spear a 3ft gold fish. lol![]()

38# and change in Florida.......Kissimmee Chain on artificials. Not in one day!
32+ pounds. All from KY. I am still looking for that 8+ pound bass.
One of these fish was a 5 1/2lb smallie from KY lake. Me being young and not really knowing just what I had, I ate that fish. I wish now I would have put her on the wall. If I ever catch another that big, I'll know what to do with it this time.
Had never thought about this until this post came up. Brings back some good memories...
11-7 LM (Florida)
9-4 LM (Florida)
8-8 LM (KY Lake)
8-8 LM (KY Lake)
8-0 LM (Florida)
--------
45-11 Total
I wish these fish were caught as a result of my fishing skills but unfortunately they were probably more the result of persistence than anything. The two 8.5 pounders were actually the same fish (with very distinctive markings), caught twice within a three-day period on KY Lake. The second time I caught her, she was about 100 yards away from where I caught her the first time. Shows the value of catch and release.
Four of the five were caught with my dad in the boat with me. That's definitely the best memory associated with these fish, since he passed away this last summer.
