New reel for X-mas !

Trying to decide on which reel I want for X-mas , the Revo STX or the Quantum Energy PT . Ive had and used the STX and older Energy reels - both are great casters .

Curado 200, 201 and 300 if I remember right. Heath and I were in legacy a couple days ago and saw them. To bad I don't need any reels or I'd buy some. They are also on there web site now too. Been that way in store for a couple months now. Best place to shop in Evansville now that they carry baits! Heath picked up a couple used reels for super cheap too. Next time your in town Larry stop in and check them out.

Just looked they are saying only the 200 series online but the store has the 300 at that price too. Might have to drive down to get it.

Behind eastland mall on congress ave. Straight west of toys r us. They have a sign out front. I'd call before you come down. The guys there are all friends of Heath and I who will be willing to answer any questions.

I'd steer clear from any of them winches that use that centerfrugal breaks! Gotta go with Lenz's Law and get ya one of those distance zippers that has a bunch of magnets in them--better, RARE EARTH magnets!!! I perfer penn squidders or 525mags for most tadpole fishin, but I'm not afraid of any of those oriental jobs either.

Anyways, my fiancee is at defcon 2 becuase I just got another rod and reel for next year.

BPS is offering the carbon-lite rod/reel combo for 169-199... The Rod sells between 89-129 i think... and the reel is 119.

I got a 7ft MH Lefty combo for 179.00

the carbon lite is not going to be the same level as a curado. But both the reel and rod have been getting exceptional reviews and the reel has been boasted as the idea baitcaster for everyday work. I really like it

Heck yeah I'm serious ya mouthbreather..jus kiddin! Sounds like you got a pretty serious get up and I hear them bass pro winches are made in the orient where they still make them by hand!

Best get rid of them centralfrugal brakes and install some rare earth magenets to create a killer electromagnetic field of forgiveness around your whirling spool. I'd say that you could try some of them Neodymium magnets, but use at your own risk!!!

seeing as i intend for this to be a jig/worm rod, Im not really interested in increasing the casting distance... I will just lose the power of my hookset.
