College isn't like the NBA...just because you are a backup doesn't mean you're playing against the other teams backups....While substitution patterns are pretty regular in the NBA, college coaches often get completely out of sync with the other team.....and often if a backup is playing well he'll get the starters minutes....and 5 TO's in 8 games is a great number for a point guard.....even if he is only playing 17 or so minutes a game.....I'll take a slightly less athletic point guard who takes care of the ball and doesn't give the other team points off TO's anyday over a guy who will make the highlight reels and turn it over 5 times a game....an elite team at any level has 2 things....a point guard that knows their roll, and it's usually not scoring (ie Rondo, Derek Fisher) and a guy who does all the dirty work and the small things....

Just curious what % of his minutes are coming at the end of games against the other teams subs because looking at the games Louisville has played most haven't been too close.

I guess we'll see what he's got once Big East conference play starts.
