Justin is giving you solid advice. A stinger is mandatory this time of year, and will make or break a trip. I tend to liveline 3" chubs or wild shiners on the Ky. river, and sauger seem to always pick the bait up from the rear, hence the "stinger". The jig rig is nasty effective on the Ohio, but for the finicky waters of the Ky, and feeder creeks, I tend to let the fish do the work instead of me.
