I did the same thing. Had to spend an extra $80-100. I was not happy after spending over a grand already. Now after all the time and money, I really like and enjoy it. Great to have, wish I had the money to get the bigger one though.

i hear ya, wish it could have gone the 1197, but i did talk to a person at basspro shops and he said the lowrance would have set me back 600 for the xtras
