    I would not consider any other brand than Shimano. I have two Symetre reels. One is eight years old and just as tight and smooth as the one I bought last year. All I have ever done to them is oil and grease every now and then.

    I just looked at those and they are looking like a solid choice. Most are low in stock. I will prob get two of them, one for bass fishing and the other for crappie/bluegill. What do you suggest me get size wise.

    2500 series for bass, although some guys like the 3000 for the line capacity.

    For crappie and bluegill, try the 2000 and below sizes.

    Not for sure about what sizes are available for each model, but the info listed above should help you determine what to get. Good luck.

    I would suggest the 2500 series for bass and the 750 series for crappie.
