I read the regs on Dale Hollow and I am a little confused.....not hard to do. If you are a Kentucky Resident and have a KY license and are boat fishing do you have to have a Tennessee fishing license on the TN side of the lake.
Thanks!

If you fish water in the state of TN you MUST have a TN fishing license. If you fish water in the state of KY (Sulphur Creek) you MUST have a KY fishing license. The only exception is for the Wolf River side of the lake above Trooper Island. In the Wolf River arm, including the arm toward Wisdon dock (Illwill and Fanny's Creek), either state license will work. This area is part of whats called the "Reciprocal Fishing Zone" where either state fishing license will allow you to fish this area. Anyone feel free to post and correct me if this has changed in the past couple years.
Here is a link to a map that will show you the reciprocal area:

Here's where you can get a license. Click, Print, Fish, Freeze!!! (and not necessarily in that order.
Thank you! This is what I thought but was hoping I was wrong. Guess I'll wait after the 1st of the year to get a license.
Might as well get it now or wait until end of Feb. as the license dont expire until end of Feb.
I think Tennessee's runs from January through December.
My 2010 license doesnt expire until Feb of 2011
I stand corrected then. I haven't looked at mine in a while. You also have the option of getting a 3 day non resident license for $16.50.
