Just for the info, smaller fish are MUCH more prolific when it comes to spawning. Big, old fish don't produce anywhere near as many eggs.
Beautiful fish!!

Very nice fish
The fish was released, I can see how the pictures would make you think that I kept it (I live on the river) The second picture was taken in my neighbors garage. I netted the fish ran her up to the house to weigh and measure and then released her.
Very Nice Fish.
I'm happy to learn that you released that nice cat. As i posted before, it's your right to do with it as you please, but I'm pleased you released it to fight again someday. A cat that size probably wouldn't taste that good anyway.
Thanks for updating that the fish was released.
I plan on catching the fish again once it has doubled in size!I'm happy to learn that you released that nice cat. As i posted before, it's your right to do with it as you please, but I'm pleased you released it to fight again someday. A cat that size probably wouldn't taste that good anyway.

when I saw the picture of the big cat inside the garage, I to thought it won't get any bigger. but it's good to know she is alive and ready to stretch someones line again. that a nice one, I never fished the ohio river until last year, Chuck and Doug gave me some tips, on where and how. and I fished it 3 times last year and caught fish every trip. but the ones I caught was nothing like the big sow your holding.![]()
Nice fish...
Is there a differance in the taste of a big cat like that verses a small one?
Nice blue cat!... Winter time blues are a blast!
