I'll agree with what bassman said, elkhorn is great fishing, i've caught some nice smallies around the Jim Beam and Switzer areas. Let me know if you need a fishin buddy sometime!

Head out to Peaks Mill to Canoe Kentucky. The place gets a bad rap with a lot of fisherman because they put a lot of people on Elkhorn. They operate from the forks to the river. In the summer they rent from Riverview park in downtown Frankfort on the Kentucky river. Iv'e lived in Frankfort almost all my my life and still can't figure out and how to catch a good mess of fish on the river. But both Elkhorn and the river are great places to spend times outdoors.

When we lived in Berea for a while, we fished Silver Creek just outside of Richmond...lots of nice smb and lmb...just another option. Good luck!

I agree with Rich. I fish Silver Creek a lot. I've got some nice SMB out of it. Let me know this spring if you want to wet a line in it. I have several places to access it.
