I believe I read some where in Europe they banned guns, so people would kill with knives. Now a kitchen knife 6" or longer has to be registered. Wont swear to it but heard or read it some where.

    Im tired of snow...just sayin

Guns would be smuggled in along with the drugs from Mexico!

Stole this from a friend on facebook.

"To everyone who is calling for stricter gun laws in light of the tragedy in Tucson, may I offer this little tidbit: If guns kill people, then pencils misspell words, cars drive drunk, and spoons made Oprah fat! Remember, Hold the person accountable for their actions, not the means they chose to utilize!!!"

build more prisons and we will fill them, already states are crying about the cost of housing , guarding, feeding and medical care of the ones we have. There isn't an easy solution to this. What will be the cost to the american federal tax payers to try this nut job?In this case there is no doubt, as with sirhan and hinckly, but still the trial must go on.If we ignore that part of the constitution, whats next? This tuff supposedly started with Cain and Abel, probably well before in fact. Folks are going to kill each other as long as thetre are more than three of them, ajn't gonna change! We had the nurhenburg trials, and executed generals who personally never killed anyone, that was to satisfy our blood lust. But there are other killers who never even stand in a docket, who through various means cause the death and injury to others. Quit the ********.Start the executions, and not only for murder. Drug dealers first, repeat drug offenders second.[the drug problem will go away].Child molesters, yep, rapists, do them to, but if the dna comes back later that it was an innocent person? the prosecuter goes away to. Dead beat dads? why jail em? they are not going to change, and probably foster more problems, just castrate them.Welfare moms, sterilize em. I dont want to even go into the other ways we kill people, there are too many of them. But why waste valuable human assets, organs, limbs eyes, skin,a lot of good recycleables there.

Just the prosecutor? It was the defense that didn't do their job in maintaining innocence for the poor soul that was wrongly convicted and then executed. Maaaaannn........
I bet we'd have a lot less lawyers based on fear alone....

I disagree, for aq case to even go to trial, there must be sufficient evidence, then the prosecuter decides to try the case. The defense? a lot of these are court appointed, somewhere the end of the line comes, and one is forced to defend some one. I had an uncle acused of rape in chicago, he went to trial, and even though he had an alibi, the police wouldn't listen. At the trial, more than 20 witnesses appeared stating that he was attending an evening class at a junior college. Since they already had the culprit, the police just quit looking. This happened in 1934.

Figure that I will catch a lot of flack over this post but here goes. Personally I believe that sometimes the old ways might be the better way to go. I suggest bringing back public hanging. Make them a big deal, historically when they had public hangings everyone from miles around would gather to see it and visit with their neighbors. I suspect that people on the verge of doing something bad would have second and third thoughts. Too many people in jail now for serious crimes. Years ago I saw a TV news reporter interviewing the Nashville TN police chief, Chief Joe Casey at that time, and getting his view on the death penalty. Chief Joe Casey looked at him and said "I have never seen annyone come back from the dead and hurt anyone else." JMO

Mark me down as 100% not offended and 100% on board! Someone like this fool who shot the people in Tuscon would be first. No trial since he was witnessed by many doing this....guilty and have a nice trip.

Fewer lawyers might be as advantageous as fewer drug heads ...I believe that 99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name.
