    Re: Louisville vs Nova

I watched the game in full....I was surprised at the lack of "D" from both team really...especialy from the Cards, (from a Patino team)??...the lake of "D", and very very poor rebounding presence just out right lost the game for black and red. The Cards (like the Cats),...will have to make some big strides on the inside game...especialy when we play those the real big ten teams in the tournament! I also was amazed (in a negative way), the lack of support in the Villinova fan base. Granted...I know most places arn't like Rupp...or the KFC Yum center,...but the fans only filled 2/3rds of the seats there last night!!...And with 3 min. to go in the game...it was like they were at a apra house or something...just some nice little clapps..knowbody on their feet..knowbody cheering the starters when taken out of the game, didn't see or here much energy at all. Nova might be ranked 7th in the country??...but I wasn't impressed, even with their margin of victory vs the Cards. I've got confidence that the Cats will find some inside strength slama jama...but not so confident the Cards will. March is just around the corner!

Their student section was pretty good but the rest of the crowd left a lot to be desired. That being said, Nova is one of five schools in the city of philadelphia so that cuts down on their fan base, plus they have a large pro sports following with the Phillies, Eagles and 76'ers.

They had quite a bit of snow to, that was part of the reason, that gym is usally about at capacity on home games.

Demondan I'm not sure what game you were watching but the ''D'' on the perimeter by Nova in that second half was lethal. Quick on quick sometimes makes the game look like nobody is playing defense, not the case in this game. Nova got alot of contested to semi-contested looks in that game that they just flat out drained. They can shoot lights out, that's why they are top ten with one loss.

yea... Nova did pick it up on the "D" on the perimeter in the second half...or the Cards was going to take it home a victory if they didn't. Im sure they got a ear full about that at half time. But just about any top 25 team can play perimeter D...if they don't have to double down on the inside on anybody....right??
Yea...Nova...and the Cards are quick..fast paced teams...but guess Im just spoiled ...watching some flat out "in your face" Defence; like the Wild Cats...Blue Devils...Jay Hawks...Huskeys...Boilermakers...Hoyas ..Orange Men and the Spartons (my Elite 8 picks for March), can exhibit for the tip too the final horn. Of course...the offence scores ya points...but when March Madness comes to town...you got to have players that can go mono on mono; these 8 teams can do just that!!!!...When the Champioship is on the hook! IT will be those that can play the lethal D the intire game, now that will win it for ya!..........I didn't see any "lethal" D on either team; but I could be wrong...I just wasn't impressed with Nova's Defence, or the Cards.
