I'm pretty tired of all the UL fans that ALWAYS expect us to lose. Even if you think that you should not fuel peoples fire(like UK fans). I feel confident in every game until they give me a reason not to.Being a season ticket holder I go to and watch all games with confidence and hate when I hear someone suggest we don't have a shot during every Big East game we play. We are going too lose some but I think as a whole this team is going to surpass most expectations this year, have some confidence in your team even though we are obviously down this year.

I call them the way I see them. I don't give the Ville much of a chance this year. I think if they can make the tourney they will be lucky. I wish I was wrong about that but that is just the way I see it.

You won't find a much biger Louisville fan than me.

    Re: Louisville vs Nova

Here are some of my game thoughts. I was hoping to keep it under 10, they were close and played pretty well except second half threes weren't falling. Terrence Jennings is a complete waste of a uniform he really isn't doing ANYTHING well at all. He can't dribble, he can't shoot, he can't defend. he can't rebound. Dieng in time will be an awesome player, needs twenty to twenty five pounds. Preston Knowles is a great player and I will miss his pitbull mentality. Without him Louisville has 4 to 5 less wins right now.
Nova shot lights out in that second half and they are truely a top ten team without a doubt. They also defend extremely well. That second half clamp down on the perimeter was the turn around in the game.

Edgar Siva will never ever ever ever learn not to over penetrate and turn the ball over. Why does Pitino continue to end up with these kind of guards. Siva has never impressed me from day one and continues to not show me anything but bad floor management and turnovers's.
Overall I think Louisville will win a few of these and they will make the tourney. 20 wins is only 6 away and they will reach that.

    GO CARDS...................

Jay Wright made a good adjustment when he stopped pressing, because we were running roughshod through that press and finding the open shooters. Plus, when you slow the game against this Louisville team the offense gets stagnant. I wish Pitino would have thrown some man to man at them, they torched our zone, especially in the second half. Once Deing learns the game he is going to be a stud, he is athletic and long.

Anybody know why Russ Smith didn't play last night?

Probably in Ricky's dog house all they gotta do is fart to get there. I'm done with that Wop, give me some change even if it's Willard. Why does he play that Mush head Jennings for long stretches, that moron can't chew gum and run at the same time, what on God's green earth does he see in that waste of court space. Play Goode at least he can play defense and hit an open shot, and actually CATCH the dang ball.

Not sure why Goode didn't play, unless it was because he was worried that goode couldn't keep up with the speed of the game. Man it was sickening to see the two best rebounders we have sitting on the bench in street clothes. Especially since we have been out rebounded 3 out of the last 4 games.

Pitino uses a pod system to break down the Big East. He breaks it down into three game stretches and sets the goal to go 2-1 in each. Accomplished in the first pod, but we have a chance to go 3-0 in the next stretch. We have Marquette and Seton Hall at home and then travel to Providence.

He does this to set short term reachable goals and to keep them from getting too down after a loss or to up after a win.

If they go 2-1 in each pod they end up 12-6 in conference and get a decent seed in the NCAA.

I watched the game in full....I was surprised at the lack of "D" from both team really...especialy from the Cards, (from a Patino team)??...the lake of "D", and very very poor rebounding presence just out right lost the game for black and red. The Cards (like the Cats),...will have to make some big strides on the inside game...especialy when we play those the real big ten teams in the tournament! I also was amazed (in a negative way), the lack of support in the Villinova fan base. Granted...I know most places arn't like Rupp...or the KFC Yum center,...but the fans only filled 2/3rds of the seats there last night!!...And with 3 min. to go in the game...it was like they were at a apra house or something...just some nice little clapps..knowbody on their feet..knowbody cheering the starters when taken out of the game, didn't see or here much energy at all. Nova might be ranked 7th in the country??...but I wasn't impressed, even with their margin of victory vs the Cards. I've got confidence that the Cats will find some inside strength slama jama...but not so confident the Cards will. March is just around the corner!

Their student section was pretty good but the rest of the crowd left a lot to be desired. That being said, Nova is one of five schools in the city of philadelphia so that cuts down on their fan base, plus they have a large pro sports following with the Phillies, Eagles and 76'ers.
