That last six minutes was the loudest the Yum Center has been anytime this year. It was great, was like being at a real home team court. Was nice to see people finally get on their feet for a long period of time. Great comeback and yes Preston got on fire.
Its no secret I am a UK fan, but God I love watching any team make a comeback like that. It is awesome.
Have to give it to the little bro up I64 that was awesome
Right when they hit the 9 minute mark in the 2nd half and were down 17 (I think) I had to finish my beer real quick and board an airplane...
When we landed in Charlotte 4 hours later, I turn my phone back on, and was like...HUH?
Nice comeback. Wish I had seen it!
A guy I work with has been a season-ticket holder for years. He's known for yelling, "Sell your tickets!" to other season-ticket holders, when he sees them leave early. Well, from what I hear, he was at that game, and when Louisville was down 18 points, he did just that - headed for the door to beat the traffic. I'm looking forward to seeing him at work on Wednesday, so I can ask him how much he wants for those tickets![]()
Alot of people left early but down 18 with 5.32 left will make you do it sometimes. That was gut check city boys, Preston Knowles is a dang gamer. I believe you would have to kill him to make him stop being a pitbull.
Way to go Cards, hell of a comeback. Peterson looked like he had seen a ghost when that buzzer went off, freaking priceless....
x2. It's been nice to see him grow up from the cocky little 12 year-old kid we had to run off the courts because we didn't want him to get hurt and grow into a legit D-I scoring guard. PK got a bad rep in high school, and a lot of it was deserved. But I have to give credit where its due, Pitino has really gotten in his head and guided him toward being successful. Minus the hairbrush incident (which, in reality, was over much more than a hairbrush lol), he's been the proverbial "team guy" off the court in recent years.
Several players around PK's high school class are having some good luck on the hardwood. Bo Harris plays for the Bluegrass Stallions, Jared Strode is playing professionally in South America, and a couple others chose to play other sports over basketball. And this year's Clark County team looks even better than that squad that went to state.
Its always nice to see a hometown kid make news for something good. Sorry if I hijacked...

No highjacking Goosecreek, I love the stories. Knowles is an emotional high strung guy, he can't help it, it's in the DNA. Sometimes that's a bad thing but channel that in the right direction and you gotta player that wants to pour his heart out on the floor if need be, for me that is Preston in a nutshell. They beat a Heck of a team Sat to, Marquette is the real deal. They run Notre Dame out of the gym and the parking last week. their losses are by very little to very good teams. They only lost by five to Duke at Cameron if my memory serves me right.
I still say Louisville will be in the tourney and may be dangerous if they ever get healthy again. They are really missing Buckles on the boards bad....
The Miracle on Main Street baby. Do you remember wherew you were? I know where I was, sec. 305, row u seat 13, thanks to fisheaters wife. While still inside the Yum Center my phone rings and it was mhall asking me if I watched the game LOL!![]()
I was there the wife got me a ticket for a stocking stuffer.
I'm a Cat fan and was honestly pulling for Marquette the whole time but that was one hell of a comeback....The last 6 minutes they looked like a team that could beat anybody in the country...Knowles is a helluva player like I've said all year....My only question is why does he always seem to wait until crunch time to turn it up....Seems L'ville would be better off to give him the ball and let him go....good things seem to happen for them when he has the ball in his hands
