DJD i agree with most things you said....and having played ball I've had teammates mouth off and be told to shut the hell up or something along those lines...but to say FU or F off, i think that might be crossing the line a little....9 times out of 10 a man says that to another man you've got a fight on your hands....and players are put in a position where they can't react like most humans would for fear of being benched the rest of the season....anybody remember latrell spreewell choking his coach?...I agree it goes on more than we think it does but that doesn't mean its right....there are better ways of getting a players attention and commanding more respect than how he attempted to do it

Robert Montgomery Knight has probably used worse language during the team prayer...

I do respect everyone's view, but I think this whole "to-do" about Cal's language is overblown. You're dealing with young kids...basketball players...who have grown up talking that way. If you want to get through to them, I say talk like them and throw it right back their way.

"Now, Gosh Terrance. You certainly are being a little selfish with your level of play there guy. How's about you hustle a bit and make a little better effort at passing the ball and looking for your open teammates, because after all fella, this is a team sport." =FAIL

"Pass the ball you selfish mother******!" =WIN

I guess I take language for what it is....words....who cares! I drop a few f-bombs daily. I don't really think it makes me a bad guy. It simply lets me blow off a little steam and emphasize how unhappy I am about something without punching someone in the face. A much better alternative for the sake of peace.

I mean, it's like watching Smokey and the Bandit on cable....them changing Sum'bitch to Scum'bum really chaps me.

I do always watch my language around kids. And, I always watch my language around people whom I think it might offend...even though I think they are being ******-*** little ******* about it.

LOL at splitshot....I also use that language but that doesn't mean they do....All I'm saying is that if i talked to another man like that i would expect a fight, and not a verbal one
