Watched the address last night, and I never fail to be impressed with President Obama's ability to give a speech. When it comes to speaking and campaigning there's no doubt the guy has it down. He also has wit, charm, looks, and a great smile. Those attributes alone will take you far in today's America.

That said, just like last year's address, his words lacked a great deal of substance or specifics. Last night he seemed to say he intended to continue investing (politicianspeak for spending) and address the insanity that is our nation's debt at the same time. Mostly he kicked the ball to congress instead of unveiling his own plans. He did say he was going to propose a 5 year domestic spending freeze, but last year he said he was going to propose a 3 year domestic spending freeze, and it's pretty easy to see where that went.

Yes Mr. Obama is a truly gifted speaker, but all things considered I have a hard time believing anything he says. It's my belief he wants to turn America into a European social democracy regardless of what he tells the people. Thank goodness enough of us see through his act we have a chance to stop him. We went a long way toward stopping the government-expanding Obama/Reid/Pelosi monster at the mid term elections.

Left wing pundits and the mass media continue to scoff at the TEA party and the likes of Barbara Bachman, and for that I'm glad. Every time one of the morons on CNN's spin panel laughs aloud after Ms. Bachman speaks, a few thousand more of us get mad enough to kick in and help. Keep yukking it up till we Americans who are footing the bill for your stupidity kick your eleteist asses to the curb.

BTW, I saw a Nancy Pelosi interview after the address, and honest to God that woman is insane.
