For all of the braid users out there, do you use leaders or tie straight to the jig. Also, anybody throw spinnerbaits on braid? Thanks...

If the water is pretty clear you use a fluorocarbon leader, I'm sure it will work on a spinnerbait too, I use fluorocarbon on everthing but flippin heavy cover and grass then I use braid. Top water, I use mono or braid depending on if I fishing over grass.

Thanks Gary, I hear that alot about clear water. I want to try flippin with braid this spring, but I really don't want to tie leaders. It's a mental thing I guess, it just seems like that's adding another point of possible failure. I'm just curious if adding a leader will really get more bites vs straight to the jig in places like TVille, Barren, Nolin. thanks again
I think it makes alot of difference, a fishing buddy and I was at Kentucky Lake we did some testing with fluorocarbon, he was using fluoro and I was using P-line CXX moss green and he was getting 5 to 1, if not more than that, the bites I was getting, you can't see the P-line in the water but the fish can. So if it not off colored water or fishing in grass I would use a leader.
