    Thieves at Cumberland Marinas

Just wanted to give everybody heads up that a couple of boats and storage lockers were broken into at Jamestown Marina. The thieves got away with some nice fishing equipment. It has been a while since I heard anything being stolen from JM. Just remeber that the winter months are the most vunerable time for marinas to have things stolen from boats. Nothing worst than a thief.

Brings a quote to mind...."more is accomplished with a good attitude and a gun than with just a good attitude"

Won't it be cool of Jamestown hung some more webcams, and then added a link to their webpage, where you could select cameras and see whats up? How cool to tune into and select the web cam pointed at you boat just in time to see a punk in a blue jacket, jeans, and a green hat start his break in.

I think all thieves should be shot, run over with a car, then shot again, then burnt into ashes.

I'm not very old, but the older I get I seem to have learned that theives are everywhere!! it's a shame but you really have to be on your toes and just assume that whatever isn't nailed down will be stolen. I have had my truck windows broken into in the parking lot while out on the lake and had stuff stolen, it was at that point where I stopped being naive and just assumed that everyone is a theif and just take all the steps you can to dissuade and prevent someone from making you a victim. always lock your rod and storage boxes, and really if you're gonna leave your boat at a slip for any amount of time, I would take my valuables with me.....I hate a thief too, but I guess thats what insurance is for.
