On the Fly I suppose????

Partner and I fished the lower end of the big C today from 8:30 - 1:30. It rained on us for most of the time. Did have one nice smallie 21 inch and close to 5, a largemouth the same size, one KY 16 inch probably 2 pounds, and one white perch. Had 3-4 more bites but didn't hook up. Dead or dying shad in most places and water 40-42.
Good fishing,

On the Fly I suppose????
That's better than we did Sunday. We fished from 8:30 to early afternoon on the lower end. Only threw the FNF and had small 2 KYs. No other bites. We saw a lot of dead shad as well. Water temps were the same as you saw.
I love the FNF. Alot of fun and you can catch some good 'uns. They are hit and miss right now. Just hit the right day and wished we had stayed longer.
Later,
Tim
Is the shad die off due to water temps? What is the water temps?
Hey Bob,
Shad die like this about every year due to cold water temps. It's what makes the FNF so good, those little jigs are just about the size of the smaller shad.
Good fishing,
Tim
