Yes, down stream a little ways from the First Street Park in Shepherdsville. I haven't been down that far in a while, but it used to be very well marked with signs.
I am determined to get on the Salt this year. I've got an 11 ft Jon no gas motor, but will put a troller on it I guess. I'm trying to discover a few good spots with decent access for to put in. With these kids , I just don't get that much time.
Bout the same rig I'll be using, 12ft aluminum flat, with a battery and hand propelled 40lb electric motor. Can't wait to anchor out and drop a couple lines. Their some monsters in that water.![]()
I always wondered where the "other side" of the off limits water was posted at.
Coming up the Salt River from the Ohio River there are signs posted just up stream from the Salt River Ramp there in West Point. That makes for quite a few miles of unusable water. And....from what others have told me, this section of water is definitely patrolled.
