So Axl was REALLY supposed to sing it........in that case, if she did this pretty much impromptu, then I DEFINITELY give her a break.......takes chops to do that without any notice.........CHOPS........where did you see that?

Was Axel on the bill to sing that, I doubt it as he and Slash are not in good terms, but a GnR reunion would be great, I thought the halftime show was a joke and Cristina well, she just messed it all up, but so did Michael Bolton, way back, but Fergie is a whole lot hotter than Axel, she is pleasing to the eyes lol lol lol, btw Elnut, good taste in Music, love some old blues and old rock, you did not Mention Montrose, remember Bad motor Scooter and all that, man that was music. They should have had ZZ TOP do the Halftime show as they are from Texas.

We lost a great guitarist this week. Gary Moore great blues man plus played with Thin Lizzy years ago. Check out on youtube think the one I liked the best was parisianne walk or something like that. The man could really control that feed back. jmho

Old Blues you say, I could have thrown the following in the list but several may have said who in the hell is that:

Robert Johnson (King of the Delta Blues Singer) One of the greatest albums of all time

    John Lee Hooker
    Muddy Waters
    Jimmy Reed
    John Hurt

I didn't. I THOUGHT I saw it on the news.. guess I wasn't paying attention. For one thing, DUH, of course that's Slash, not Axl. Shows you how much of a GNR fan I am; no disrespect but they were never my cup of tea, although I do love that song. I did have it right that there were multiple microphone failures, but it was Fergie's mic that was cutting in and out, and also Usher's. Sorry, I usually do a better job of fact-checking before I post.

SRV was the badest sumbeach to ever grace a guitar bar none. I like everybody you mentioned Woody. I'm a huge Floyd fan, and lets not forget about ''RUSH'', Getty Lee and Neil Pert.

Who was a better drummer Neil Pert or John Bonham, now them boys could beat a set of drums fellas, REAL God given talent, you don't learn that from lessons, that deal was meant to be.

NEIL PERT is the better drummer. The reason is very simple, HIS MIDDLE NAME IS "ELLWOOD"!!! No joke, Neil Pert the drummer for Rush, his momma and daddy hated him as well in giving him a middle name like mine, spelled with an additional "L" but sucky all the same.

That's cool. The man is tireless, he can beat them drums like it's his last day on earth, I think I lean towards him to, but Bonham was awesome as well. His son Jason Bonham is no slouch.

Love Rush, Geddy Lee is a big influence on my bass playing, Neil is one of the greatest drummers ever, there is a good doc on vh1 classics that run from time to time about Rush, they seem to be a great group of guys. And their guitar player is awsome also. Yes we lost a good un with Gary Moore, and yes Elnut get those old blues ole RJ, he started it all, down at the crossroads, hey if you guys like bluesy stuff tune into wdns93 you can get it on the web now, and every Monday night they have the Lowdown Hoedown, hosted by Greg Martin of the KY Headhunters and Rufus Huff, it is a great old school musical experiance that is a treat for your ears. Elwood you will like this show,. Greg is a great guitarst have known him for years and he has excellent taste in music. Give him a listen. WDNS93.3 Bowling Greens finest station.
