the thing that bothers me is the North East snow they have some serious snowfalls and it'll all come down the Ohio

Actually the ohio watershed did get a lot of snow, but the serious stuff in the extreme northeast goes into the Hudson.

so will there be more 15 inch fish this year ? ? ?

lots of shad last year to eat and a shad kill this winter might be a big factor i think also and with the extra cold spells this winter maybe
less fishing preshure the 15 inchers got a little (STUPIDER) this winter and will bite!!!

I do agree they tend to get smarter once they are caught
if you were sitting Mcdonalds and bit into a big mac being hooked ,drug through the lobby, over tables, out the door ,across the parking lot,and thrown in the back of a truck on your way to who knows where
just to see if you had grown any sence last year it would kinda keep me away from mickey-d's especially big mac's
thanks for the input guys just wanted some to see other view's besides myown

Dave do you have a educated guess at this?
and what factors do you think had the most effect on the fish growth ?
    thanks
none of the ones i ate will make it. some that were released died. others were ate by some other critter. hard to say, maybe half made it to this year and are now 17 or 18 inch fish.

    Re: Kentucky Lake

This is a topic Ive often wondered mysef. The last sveral years ive got tons of 14 7/8 fish. When reeling them in you would swear its a keeper! However KY lake has had good spawns, but last year I noticed a bad year for the spawn with the water levels, and I personally beleive the momma's dumped their eggs deep due to confusion with the water and weather and last years spawn was poor. However due to the years past spawn were still in great shape! Im not sure if I beleive the fish get that much smarter if they grow another 1/8 inch, conditioned a bit yes, but a LM bass is lazy, very hardy and will eat anything. So we will see this spring if more keeper fish are caught or not.......and of course these our all of my opinions based on my on the water experience and my be totally off too?

they were keepers before i filleted them, then they were under 15 inches after i fried them. sorry for the misunderstanding.
