It's probably the same one I have. It's black and has maybe 4 line guides on it. It's about like a pool stick. Mine is made in TN I believe, and I think it's called the "Meat Stick." You have to have a stout rod to drive those hooks in.

A lot of guys make their own rod out of a long broom handle or dowel rod. Works just as good.

I used to hammer the spoonbill back in the day below KY Dam, when the limit was 15 a day. The current had to be just right, and you had to know what to look for. I always fished the Marshall County side. I haven't been able to fish that spot since they started building that bridge. I keep thinking it will open back up soon and I can relive the glory days, but with a smaller limit now.
