The Cavs were FAVORED in last nights game against the Pistons. I told my buddy yesterday afternoon that was the play of the year. A team on a 25 game losing streak favored, REALLY. Sunday they play the Washington Wizards who have lost 25 road games in a row and the game is in Cleveland. I can see the Cavs being favored in that game but against the Pistons, even as bad as the Pistons are. Sunday's game may end up in the first tie in NBA history.

So I don't remember all of the particulars, but didn't the CAVS get ANYTHING for LeBron? Or was it because he was a free agent, that he could go anywhere he wanted and they didn't have to trade for him?

I liked Lebron, but when he chose to try and manufacture a championship rather than earn one, he lost me as a fan. I'll root against him ever winning one.

I remember he left his team owner hanging and made his decision to leave so late in the process that the Cavs were out of the running on getting any other free agents. He could have worked with the Cavs so they could get something for him OR let the Cavs know for sure he was gone and they could have went after some real talent with the new found salary money he was leaving.
I don't know squat about how it should go but it does seem he stuck it too the Cavs and I don't understand why he would do that to his hometown team??

I don't question Lebron leaving for Miami but do disagree with the way he went about it. Holding that stupid hour long press conference to announce it was about the most ridiculuous thing I have seen in a while. I think Lebron has something against the owner of the Cavs, Dan Gilbert, and that is the reason he left more than anything. Face it, Lebron was there from 2003 to 2010 and Gilbert NEVER put one single consistent star quality player with Lebron. It takes more than 1 All Star to win a title, even Jordan as good as he was had some very good role players in Pippen, Grant, Armstrong, Rodman and such around him all the time. It took Shaq and Kobe, Robinson and Duncan, Allen - Pierce - Garnett, and such for teams to win the title in the past. Lebron never had a Robin to go with him as Batman. I do think Lebron would do it differently if he could, as far as the way he left, but I don't have a problem with him leaving.

I use to really like LeBron and actually thought he was different than the rest. Well I learned he's not. He is the chairman, spokesperson, CEO and acting Prseident of the ''ME'' generation. I did not like the way he left and talked bad about his former teammates. I also think he is overrated and agree with what Michael said, heck with him.
