I went today for a couple of hours. I had planned on putting in at the Dam (site 1), but it was froze over. Ended up putting in at the Briar Creek Ramp and went down the lake. Had to chop through some slush around the island at Cave Hollow Bay and fished inside Piney a little and back out to the mouth of Briar Creek and the beach. Briar Creek is still froze solid. Millions of dead and "almost" dead minnows floating in the water prompted me to throw a jerk bait and red eye shad around a little bit near the beach at Briar Creek. No bites, no misses, and no fish. At least I enjoyed the weather and found out that everything on my boat still works, even if my trolling motor had to fight that wind on the main lake. Lake clarity seemed very clear despite all the snow runoff, and I bet if the weather stays like this for a few more weeks, it will turn on. Hope this helps.
