I took mine many and I do mean many years ago at the Jefferson Co Sportsman club. Had to have one to hunt at any quota hunts here in the state. Which reminds me of this very humerous story while we were taking our test. My buddies and I elected to shoot a pump shotgun and some clays they were kicking out of a little ground thrower. We were cocky show offs and wanted to show some rookies how to shoot. About five people in front of me was a fella that acted a little nervous. Why he didn't choose archery or the 22 rimfire is beyond me.
The line moves along and he gets his turn. The instructor would hand the person one shell and it was their responsibility to chamber the shell ensure the gun be handled safely and keep the safety on until it was time to shoot at the clay. The instructor was standing to the left of this individual and slightly behind him. Everything was going great, until................wait for it..............this guy spins around with the barrell at waist level and says where is the safety on this thing. He litterally pointed the barrel right at the mid section of the instructor. The Instructor grabbed the barrel pushing it up in the air vertically and said please let go of the gun sir. The guy argued and wanted to know why he failed, and said ''What's the big deal, I wasn't going to shoot ya''. After the shock wore off we all laughed so hard almost pissed myself......
