x2 on the relay switch. Same thing happened to me on Guntersville...unfortunately I was on the water when the "up" relay switch went out and the motor was tucked completely under the boat. Made for an interesting story when I loaded my boat on the trailor.
Long story short, I did everything I could to keep the skag from dragging on the ramp...didn't work. I ended up wading in 48 degree water, using a tire jack to jack the trailor AND boat up a few inches so I could release the power trim switch manually then physically lift the 150 hp motor high enough to put the transom saver under the lower unit. All this for a part that cost $8.00.
Hope this doesn't happen to you!!
