The Big East is where it's at. Some excellent teams beating on each other the whole season long. Will be interesting to watch come time for the big dance!
I never said the Big East was not where it's at. Cincy did beat Georgetown but the outcome would have been a bit different if Georgetown's point guard, leading scorer and leading assist man did not break his hand in the game. UK did lose on the road.....again..... and my point in the earlier post was Cincy against a SEC team on a NEUTRAL SITE. Seems not too long ago, LAST YEAR, that the Big East was strutting and quacking their way to putting 8 teams in the Big Dance. Also seems to me that the 8 teams went a combined 8-8, 8 total victories by 8 different teams and West Virginia had 4 of those victories, 4 of them went out in the first round and if not for a miracle by Villanova it would have been 5, Louisville flat out laid a Cardinal Egg against Cal in the second round. The SEC put 4 teams in the tourney versus 8 for the Big East, but had 2 in the Elite 8 versus 1 for the Big East. Sure was glad it was a "Down" year as a whole for the SEC last season because if not.....and was glad the Big East was the "Best Conference in America" last year because if not.....history has a way of repeating itself. Maybe the SEC is the best conference in america and the best teams are knocking heads, maybe the Big East is not as good as being advertised and a bunch of equal mediocre teams are knocking heads, that is why the NCAA tourney is the best sporting event EVER! There are no Kansas or Kentucky's this year that are guaranteed Number 1 seeds and odds on to win the title. Ohio State is over-rated, Kansas (who can depend on them during the big dance), Texas - who knows, Pittsburgh???, Puke - not back to back, completely wide open.
