Re: Any Good Sales on tackle?

I'm working the Indy Boat and Travel show right now and have had a little time to walk around and browse. Every walk seems to cost me about $25.00. I've found lots of good deals on things I use. Best show of the year by far for me.

Buy from local tackle shops. Might cost just a smidge more, but helps the small guy. Let me know if you need any bulk plastics

I hear you there I try to support my local bait shop. May be a little higher not to terribly bad. Support them to keep their doors open.

Re: Any Good Sales on tackle?

Soooooo any good sales in local tackle shops? I spend a couple hours every winter compiling a list of things I use the most and thru out the pre season I begin to gather and what items I haven't come across I wind up having to look for sales online, but I have found that if my list is big enough a local tackle store will order the whole thing at a pretty good discount - I'm talking about a $250-$300 order. See I like to buy the bulk of what I need out of my taxes, like hooks, plastics, line certain crankbaits etc.... So the rest of the year I just need small stuff here and there and it works out because at that time I will be filling the boat with gas and oil and it hits the budget a little harder if I have to continually buy baits at a higher price in one here and one there.

I buy my Jigs and some soft plastice from Smyrna Bait & Tackle. They also carry shimano and falcon rods. But thats where it ends. They dont carry the crankbaits and jerk baits and stuff.... They do carry a lot of local bait makers product though, which is nice.
