While I hate the fact the the HOA can do this, that is what they signed up for......

I'd LOVE to have a HOA right now........the Mexicans behind me would not be allowed to raise chickens. The 5 broken down/JUNK cars parked in the driveway/yard of my hard working black neighbor ( the cars are owned by her 3 THUG, dope smoking, crak dealing poopy HEAD sons) .....The skateboarding PUNK butt poopy heads that ride through my neighborhood......

Yea, a HOA sounds pretty **** good right about now.

When I moved in 20 years ago, it was a great neighborhood. With the slowing economy and a more "affordable home" my neighborhood and my PROPERTY values have gone to hell.

Well said, that's the flip side. If you agree to move into an area with a HOA, you can't get mad when they enforce the provisions agreed upon. I do think they have some ridiculous rules to follow though, but I certainly wouldn't risk getting my tail whipped (remember: butt whoopins go both ways regardless of how well you type it) over not following a rule I agreed to. Then again I won't likely live anywhere there is a HOA...I like to pee outside, too

Without knowing the details of the HOA agreement they signed, I can't really say, but if what they say is true about other signs being present, and if the owners of those other signs have not gotten similar notices, they have may a case. It's called "selective enforcement." You can't enforce a rule like that just part of the time, it's all or nothing (as Art mentioned).
