Sauger report

Well does anyone..anyone have any good news as to the sauger biting at Meldah Dam. It has been a CRAZY year for sauger fishing. The river has been in pretty good shape ,now the sauger refuse to bite. Any news good or bad is appreciated.

Fished CR last night, put in around 8 and fished till 1:30 this morning. I think it was the coldest night of the year. Hooked up on 4 Sauger and got 2 in the boat. Trolled a Clown Colored deep running X-Rap. All fish came out of the shadows of the dam. I looked in the trash cans at the fish cleaning station and seen where someone caught some of the biggest crappie I have seen in a long time.
