If that boy didn't have a girlfriend prior to today, I'm betting he'll have one Monday...heck, maybe even before he leaves the track. LMAO

It kind of looked to me like he struggled at first with his celebration burn out...Heck man, 20, can't even buy beer legally, shaves his face once per week now. Congrats to the young man, but I have a pretty good feeling that Dale Jr., J. Johnson, J. Gordon and any of the other "veterans" are gonna be looking at this young man in their rear view mirror more than 50% of the time this year.

Since Chevy didn't win it I'm ok with Ford winning today, anything but a freakin' Camry!

I'd say more like 95% of the time. They going to toss this kid under the bus and send him out on a short track I'd think he'd need a bit more experience not taking away anything from his victory but Daytona is a big open track.

A big deal for sure! The dude seems like a quality young man and the Wood bro's needed this win. I wonder if they will get him to drive more races this year as opposed to his part time schedule?

I'm not convinced he will do alot this year. The other tracks are different and it takes more skill than luck. Daytona is tough but alot of luck in this race.

Dang when is Robby Gordon gonna hang it up and go back to Baja racing??? Jeez that guy either wrecks or causes wrecks in every race.

I would say this is a huge deal for teh Wood Brothers. It is an even bigger deal to a guy like Trevor Bayne. And his competitors took note this weekend. Jeff Gordon approached Trevor Bayne about drafting together, not the other way around which speaks really well of the past champions impression of this young man. With that said, keep in mind he is not driving a full cup schedule this year, and it is only one race. ANYONE can win teh Daytona 500...including Derike Cope...

Interesting fact... first time Wood Brothers saw victory lane at this race since David Pearson took the number 21 to the win in 1978. Trevors car was actually painted to look like that race winning car. Maybe this will bring back vinatge paint jobs... i miss the old davey allison 28 paint job.... among many. Would like to see Kurt Busch run a gold miller high life car like the old buicks from teh 80's...
