Only had about three hours to burn, so I wasn't able to hit it that hard. I put in at the State ramp and headed towards North Fork....wind blowing like crazy! White caps on the main lake. Water clarity was good, around 4 foot or so. Water temps around 45-46 degrees. Started off trolling a bit for hybrids, did that for nearly an hour without a sniff. Graphed several fish around 20 foot, so I did some vertical jigging...nada. Saw some shad flipping around the wind blown banks, so I threw some cbs with no results. Wind really picked up hard, and I wasn't catching anything to make it worth while to deal with....so I headed out around noon. Saw four other boats, they appeared to be crappie fishing. Didn't see anything caught. Shouldn't be too much longer till they really get going. Can't wait!!!
