You want to get the Blue Top Optimas for Boats. They are made for a marine enviroment. They are vibration resistant which is great for boats where batteries take a pounding in rought water in a boat.
I'd recommend the biggest Bluetop Optima Deep Cycle for the Trolling motor. You want as much reserve Amp Hours as possilbe.
Get the combination starting/deepcycle Blue Top optima for your motor and other accessories.
I've got a Blue Top Optima (dark gray bottom plastic) that I'm still using to start my boat after 8 years. It's still holding a good charge but I will probably have to replace it this year or next year. I keep it fully charged up after every trip. It does a lot of sitting in my boat in the garage as I've turned into a fair weather fishermen over the last 3 years. But before that I was out even in Dec fishing all year round from 2003 until 2009 with this Optima Battery. I still have my older Blue Top Optima Trolling Motor's Deep cycle battery that I use for fishing lights and other things. It's still holding a good charge too. And it's about 8 years old.
Other deep cycle batteries that I had that were just regular lead acid type and not AGM would only last me a few years and then they would not fully charge back up.
Also the Optima's Blue tops will charge up mush faster than a regular lead acid battery with lead plates and Sulfuric Acid water. And these Optima when fully charged will hold their charge for nearly a year. Other lead acid batteries won't do that.
The Optima's use more pure lead which make them less resistant to electrons and therefore they take a full charge much faster than regular lead acid batties.
They do cost more and trying to get the best price is a wise decision. Check around and shop for the best price you can find.
I got mine at Autozone but they also sell them at Gander Mountain where I live in Evansville, IN.
