The NCAA stands for No Chance At Accuracy!

Jim Calhoun is found guilty by the NCAA of major recruiting violations so they do the LOGICAL thing and suspend him for the first 3 Big East regular season games of NEXT YEAR. What is next a bunch of college football players receiving money and other benefits from a tattoo parlor only to be suspended 5 games NEXT YEAR BUT ALLOWED TO PLAY IN A BCS BOWL THIS YEAR. Maybe one college freshman gets to pay back money he received and sits out a few games at Kansas but another gets the death penalty at UK. Who is running the Mickey Mouse club, AKA NCAA, Bert Ernie or Big Bird?
The NCAA stands for No Chance At Accuracy!
It may take a couple months but I think we will see if they are consistant when they meet with UT over there violations. The kicker will be how hard they get hit because of "misleading NCAA investigators". I am a die hard UT fan, but he was wrong and now must face the music. He is a great coach but what in the world was he thinking?? Did he think that no one would find out?? As good of a coach as he is I am surprised that the university is standing by him. I also think that it was crazy that the SEC suspended him, that is the job of the NCAA.
UT is also in trouble with the Football and Baseball team. I have heard of "Lack of Institutional Control" when SMU and some others got the Death Penalty but when does the entire athletic program take it on the chin. UT should put Pat Summit as Lady Vol's Head Coach / Athletic Director and there will NEVER be any future problems. It may take a couple months but I think we will see if they are consistant when they meet with UT over there violations. Mike Slive and the SEC gave Pearl the suspension in hope that the NCAA would deem it as suitable penalty. After hearing what the NCAA had to say today about UT's lack of institutional control,I think the Vols are about to get the inconsistent hammer. It may take a couple months but I think we will see if they are consistant when they meet with UT over there violations. How Calhoun only got slapped on the panties is a joke,I have no respect for the NCAA Infractions Committee and Compliance Office.
The baseball team was investagated but not mentioned in todays letter to UT, thats a good thing. The football team, I think is looking at some real minor stuff.(Lane Kiffin got his own letter from the NCAA and said ealier that his legal counsel had advised him to not comment. Hope they stick him good!!!) Bruce Pearl is one of the best coaches around, but he has made his bed and now he's got to lay in it.UT is also in trouble with the Football and Baseball team. Bruce is Pearl is the new Kelvin Sampson! Not good for UT!!!!!!!
Does anybody else see the Irony of Pearl's problems with the NCAA. If you don't no the story, here are a couple of links, but bascially he went to the NCAA with information about Illinois illegally recruiting a player. All of his allegations were proven false, he made it all up. Now he is the one in hot water.
Here is what he wrote to the NCAA: http://underscorebleach.net/jotsheet...ncaa_memo.html

I see Bruce Pearl losing his job over this when it is all said and done. Then Pat Summit can be the Men's Head Coach, Lady's Head Coach and Athletic Director at the same time.
ESPN had an interview with Coach K and Bobby Knight tonight and Knight said that there was so much "cheating" going on in College Basketball today. Said coaches and boosters are doing stuff under the table and behind the backs of the University and NCAA. Then it was said by one of the host of Sportscenter that of the 66 Universities in the Big 6 conferences, that only Penn State and Stanford had NEVER received any kind of infractions in their basketball programs. Only 2 CLEAN programs out of 66.
I totally agree with that statement that all programs cheat. It's just that when your caught you seem like the only one. Too much money and pride at stake in college bball.I see Bruce Pearl losing his job over this when it is all said and done.
