Looks like I will just be syphoning my gas from Tyme's truck while he is out on the Ohio wishing Doug was still around.

IN reality gas isnt that expensive. It simply lacked behind the rest of the inflation going on since the 1970's. You look at the cost of a gallon of gas as a percentage of what a typical household income is, and you will see it is a lower percentage than what it was 30 years ago. Gas prices are just simply catching up with inflation. That doenst make it hurt any less in the wallet.

Rich drilling is only going to go so far. Chevron charges the same for Alaskan oil as Lybia oil. I can't tell the diffenence.

At least it would be a start in the right direction...we have so much un-tapped oil in this country that we can't get to, it's ridiculous! So instead, everytime somebody even "farts" over in the middle east, gas goes up 20 cents! Tired of it!

I'm still going to find a way to rig up a flex compacitor to my boat...and that way I can run it on garbage and even go back in time and fish waters before they were fished to death! haha!

Hit the smaller trolling motor lakes more often. Big fish don't always live in big water.

If we don't tap our own resources, then we will never get away from these oil prices.

Raise the price of a bushel of wheat or corn for export to the same as a barrel of oil. We can eat our wheat and corn, let's see them drink their oil.

How can anyone afford just to have a day out fishing much less fish a tournement and even break even unless you up entry fees and so on. the goverment is speculating what might happen in the middle east without it even happening, just like Katriena they would raise prices every time they thought a storm was on it's way.

2 years ago when gas hit $4 a gallon I went and bought a cheap scooter to drive around and get to work. Yea I might have looked like a fool but it went 55mph and cost $8 to Fill up. That $8 would get me 200 miles too. I sold it last summer to a kid in Shelbyville for $500. Looks like it is time to scooter shopping again. Gas saved riding a scooter = more gas for the truck and the thirsty thirsty thirsty 200hp johnson.

After the frist gulf war in 1990 and the U.A.E. ask us we the U.S.A. to come save their ass from Iraq we should be getting our gas free, hell go to saudi and see what they pay for gas? .25 per gal. now whats not right with this. We didn't even get payed for the cost of what it took to go and protect their asses, you'd think that they would at least turn a valve open a little more. BUT NO they want to build artificial islands that look like palm trees and indoor snow ski buildings in the middle of the desert.. I agree with the guy that said let them drink the oil and we will just turn our backs next time, and sale the food to them at double the cost of what they whnt for oil, and then just go bankrupt on what we owe China and let them come try and collect and we just turn over all the wall streeters and bankers and tell China they are the ones that owe the debit. Roughriderbill - I feel your pain, I'm pretty fed up with the government too, not just with any single political party either, all across the board.

The wife and I were talking about this gas price thing, her and I both drive V8 4-wheel drive Chevy's...I think her and have come to the conclusion that when we go to the lake we're going to stay longer if we can make it work out. Instead of two night trips now we'll stay for three or four nights when we go, we just won't go as often. Probably should have been doing it this way all along. With only spending two nights at the lake it sort of feels like I've been doing more running and gunning than I have spent resting and relaxing.
